Beverly Breaks Cougar Rushing Record

Thomas Beverly rushed for 238 yards on 13 carries for St. John the Baptist (5-1) in CHSAA. According to coach Keith Schweers, Beverly now has 2,125 career rushing yards, breaking the school's all-time rushing mark of 1,996, set by 1998 graduate Anton McKenzie. Beverly has 1,185 yards on the season. Matt Pryzby completed 9 of 15 passes for 1,476 yards and two touchdowns, while Vincent Iacono carried the ball eight times for 80 yards and two scores. Patrick Maroney led the defense with eight tackles, while Patrick Arnold added six tackles. Cardinal Hayes is 3-4.
